.___ Lobby Areas/Siblings: Please help us keep the lobby area clean and do not leave personal items unattended in the lobby. We encourage siblings to be a part of our dance family. However, for the safety of all children at the studio we ask that siblings and younger dancers be supervised by an adult at all times. Children are not allowed to play in the empty studios while classes are not in session unless permission is granted by a Studio Staff Member
.___ Tuition: In order to provide a quality, dance training facility and Studio Staff, all tuition must be paid by automatic withdrawal on the 1st of each month. This ensures a worry free environment for both parties involved. A student may withdraw from lessons at any time for any reason. However, students are expected to make monthly tuition payments until withdrawing from lessons by submitting 30 days notice from a student’s final tuition payment. Missing or not showing up for scheduled lessons does not constitute notice of withdrawal from lessons
.___ Delinquent Payments: Students are expected to keep all tuition payments current. Payments more than 5 days late will be charged a $10.00 late fee. Payments more than 30 days late will incur an additional $25.00 late fee. Payments more than 60 days late will be sent to collections. If accounts are sent to collections, there will be a 40-50% additional fee added to the total bill collected to cover the expense of a collection agency. Late payments or the failure to make tuition payments do not constitute withdrawal from classes or cancellation of an ongoing agreement.
___ Can I Bring a Friend with Me to Class? We love to have friends attend class and a friend may receive 1 free trial class when attending with a registered student. However, we do require a parent to accompany any minor 15 or under and minors 17 and under to have signed waiver forms on file before participating in any class. Please have your friend’s parent call The Dance Factory to schedule your friend’s first class.
___ Scheduled Performances: The Dance Factory will hold two studio Productions each year. One is October 28th and our spring production is June 15th. Performing is a fun, challenging part of dancing and students are strongly encouraged to participate in The Dance Factory Studio Productions, but no student will be required to perform. Students will work with their teacher to determine their readiness for participation in performances.
___ Costumes: Dance students choosing to participate in the October production of ONE WILD NIGHT will be charged a costume rental fee of $15 This fee will be due October 1st. All preschool, basic jazz, and hip hop classes perform in One Wild Night. Costume fees for our June production will be $50 and will be due March 1st. ALL classes participate in the spring show. Late costume payments may result in a delay of ordering a child’s costume. Please be timely in submitting your costume payments to avoid any delay.
___ Attendance – Dance Classes: Please be on time for class. Regular attendance is essential for success. The Dance Factory cannot be held responsible for a student’s failure to attend class and there will be no refunds given for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up in another appropriate class 30 days before or 30 days after the absence. After 30 days has passed from the time of the missed class, the student forfeits any opportunity to make-up the lesson.
___ Substitute Teachers: The Dance Factory reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute teacher in the event that the regular teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach. If an appropriate substitute teacher is not available, missed lessons will be made up.
___ Photo/Video Release: The Dance Factory is hereby granted permission to take photographs/video of the students to use in print and media advertising, posters, and other promotional materials.
