Sarah Spilker
This is my 6th year teaching at The Dance Factory. My dance background includes 13 years classical ballet training at Ballet Arts of Southern Utah and Ballet West Conservatory, as well as numerous years training in Jazz, Modern, Character, Folk Dancing, and Tap from Master Teachers in Utah, Nevada and California. I have taught ballet at Ballet Arts of Southern Utah and have taught Jazz, Tap, and Ballet at Sarah’s Fig Garden Studio of Ballet and Dance Arts in Fresno, California.
These are some thing you can expect from me as your teacher. I will teach you correct dance technique and musicality. I will provide a positive, non-threatening atmosphere conducive to putting forth your best efforts in learning dance. I will conduct a structured class to help learn by memorization and repetition. I will use positive comments and praise and occasionally awards to contribute to the self-esteem of each student. I will provide time in class for “free dancing” where you will get to be your own choreographer. This will help you learn musicality and hopefully increase your love of dance. I will work with each child on their ability level and provide the same positive environment for each child regardless of their dancing abilities.
