MAZIE BERRY

I have been dancing for 16 years.  I was a member of Larieann’s Dance Academy for 11 years and  a member of The Dance Factory for one fabulous year.  Currently I am attending the Salt Lake Community College and I am a member of their dance company.  I plan on attending Weber State University next fall to major in Dance, and minor in Dance Education, and also auditioning for Odyssey Dance Theatre. I have trained in many different styles consisting of: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Pointe, Tumbling and Modern. I attend many different conventions and love to learn new things. Dance is my passion and my life. I have competed in numerous completions and have won many awards including 6 Regional and 2 National titles. In high school I was apart of the drill team for 2 years and also apart of the dance company for 2 years. I have choreographed many routines and have assisted others in choreography.  I love to share and give back all that I have learned over the years. I love to see those that I have taught smile because they have accomplished something new. My goal in life is to become a great inspiration to others and teach them all that I have been taught. I always say, “Dancing comes from within, to be a great dancer, you must think you’re a great dancer! To succeed, you must fail first! Dancing is not only movement but a way to express emotion!”
